Abel 2065
Corona Borealis Supercluster
A recent article in a popular Astronomy Magazine
prompted me to search out this supercluster. You see, the image in
the publication was taken with the Mount Palomar 200 inche telescope with
film. The sensitivity of amateur equipment has come a long way in
the past few years. I was very pleased with the results. In
the photograph below, four stars are visible. The remaining objects
visible are galaxies. The average distance to these galaxies is estimated
to be one billion light years.
