NGC4485 and NGC4490
| In the constellation of Canes Venatici, one of my favorites for galaxy
hunting, we find this interacting pair. These are easy to find and show
for star parties. I highly recommend them.
C14, ST7, 20m L, 8 min in each RGB
These galaxies can be found about 39 arc minutes west of
the star Chara. They can be seen with moderate instruments but their true
beauty shines with an aperture of at least 14 inches. |
